twas the night
Twas the night before Halloween
And all through the house
All the children were carving
next.

Sawyer the grouse
'cept for Sawyer, the grouse.

on the table
The pumpkins were lined
on the table for cleaning
next.

screening
while mom conducted
the 'Pre-knife Usage' screening.

drew patterns
We drew our own patterns
with care and with speed
next

cleaning out
and then set forth cleaning
out guts and out seed.

dug in our tools
We dug with our hands
and we scraped with our tools
next.

twas the night
and got really, quite messy
like large bunch of fools.

beer
When what to my wondering eyes should appear
but a glob of pumpkin slime RIGHT on my beer!
Away to the sink with my brewskie I ran
to clean the orange guts off my precious last can.

3 pumpkins
We cut out 3 pumpkins
1 big and two small
next

wall
And then I scraped pumpkin guts
Off of the wall
next...

sleeping
Then we all noticed, without any warning
Sawyer was asleep, so we finished in the morning!

the door
The kids carved in faces and kitties and more
then lined out their jack-o-lanterns outside the front door.
